Over the last 2 years my wife and I have been in the process of moving from Toronto, Canada to Portland, Oregon. It has been a long journey, with its challenges. It has also been a time of character growth.
One thing is for sure, when you step out of your comfort zone and pursue a dream, you will face opposition and will feel a sense of peace.
Two months ago Laurie and the kids moved out to Portland so that we could finish the immigration process. This week I will be moving to join them!
It couldn’t come at a better time, I have properly transitioned out of my current role at work and my daughter’s third birthday is this week!
Now this is where I am going to ask for your help.
I am on the job search in the Portland area. Click here to download Paul’s resume.
I am wondering if you could help introduce me to some people in Portland?
Did you know that 80% of jobs are found because of who you know or a friend of a friend? That means I need you!
I know this is the part in the post where I am supposed to tell you how awesome and how employable I am! If you don’t want to read the rest check out this other post I wrote: 8 People You Need To Spend Time With
Enjoy!
If you are still reading, thank you. My about page is where you will find my bio, but you might be asking, what are you looking for in Portland?
Great question! Here’s the answer.
I love working with people and being involved in leadership development. I have strong administrative skills and want to be engaged in work that is meaningful, that has a real impact in other’s lives.
Through a strong work ethic, I have really enjoyed and excelled in opportunities in event planning, live production and program development.
I have experience in sales, non-profit, para-church and local church ministries. I am open to see what the future might hold.
I know a lot of this sounds like I am reading from my resume and in some ways I am. But like they say your resume should help you get a meeting with someone and that is what I hope this post does!
So here is the deal, I need your help. Is there anyone you can forward my resume too?
