Archives For Fun

We live each day of our lives in real time. There is no dress rehearsal, there is no practice round and there are certainly no mulligans. However, there is still tomorrow.

As long as there is breath in our lungs, there is a hope for the future. A future we play the main character in.

Sometimes this takes courage, sometimes people are hurt, sometimes you need to say sorry. Many times there is joy, peace and fulfillment in using wisdom to follow your heart.  Continue Reading…

Today is Canadian Thanksgiving!

There are many differences between Canada and US and this is one of them. I don’t know why the US celebrates it so close to Christmas, I like where Canada has it!

Regardless of the difference on the calendar, there are many similarities. Families come together, eat a meal and spend time together. In the US there’s football on the TV and in Canada you have the choice between hockey or baseball.

As the name of the holiday implies, it is also a time to reflect on the things we are thankful for. When the crop comes in, it is time to celebrate the bounty that was harvested. Continue Reading…

Growing up, I was always told that I could change the world and that I could make a difference. In some cases perhaps the person was just blowing smoke, and other times I think they actually meant it.

The truth is, as I grew up I actually began to believe what I was being told.

I believe there is something inside each of us that desires to make a difference. The truth is, the invitation to make a difference is available to each of us.

Maybe you have a dream or an idea that you think might be great, but you’ve been told you are crazy. Someone said it would never work, you aren’t smart enough or you don’t have what it takes.

If that is the case, maybe you are on the right track!   Continue Reading…

I love to travel. I like the experience it brings and flying on a plane. Traveling for work is fun. I like the idea of being able to move 2,000 miles in only a few hours.

Last Summer I flew from London, UK to Toronto, Canada. I flew alone. It was great. I watched a movie, read a book and took a nap and then just like that I landed on the other side of the ocean.

I collected my bags and was on my way. Nice and easy!

Then 5 days later I had another kind of experience. Continue Reading…

In Ontario, Canada (where my wife and I live) the third Monday in February is a recognized holiday called Family Day. I know it sounds a little soft, but any excuse for a long weekend is good to me!

In all the things I do, I know my responsibilities as a Father top them all. The legacy I can leave for the future generations is huge when I think of my children.

As a leader, my family is my foundation. My career, passions, hobbies and interests don’t have to be sacrificed in order to have a healthy family.

It’s my birthday! I am now 30. In some ways I feel old, in others, I know there is still a lot I can do while I am on this earth.

Here are 30 things I have learned in my 30 years on earth:  Continue Reading…

Merry Christmas Jolicoeur Family

May this time of the year be an opportunity for you to invest your greatest assets in the best place possible.

May you invest your time with those you love and those you have the opportunity to build a legacy with.

Merry Christmas!

from Paul, Laurie, Jaslyn and Jace!

Its that time of year again. Time to head out to the mall, fight for a parking spot and get stuck behind the slow people!

Shopping for me is an emotional stretching experience. Going to the mall saps my strength away.

This time of year, the temptation to overspend and give out of guilt is high. Remember that this is a season of generosity and should not be a source of anxiety!

When it’s time to start something new, it’s always great to have someone to look up to and walk along side. Life is too short to try to figure everything out on our own.

We each need mentors in our lives. I have many mentors I haven’t met yet. Michael Hyatt is one of them.

Last summer it was time for me to start something I had been wanting to do for a long time…it was time to start my blog.

I was listening to Dave Ramsey’s EntreLeadership podcast and heard an interview with Michael Hyatt. I knew at that moment what my next book would be!
